Benjani offered Blackburn contract
Former Manchester City striker Benjani is in contract talks with Blackburn after spending the last two weeks in training with the club.[LNB] Benjani, who is a free agent, was given a chance to prove his fitness to Rovers and Sam Allardyce is willing to hand the Zimbabwean a Premier League lifeline.[LNB]Speaking ahead of the match against Arsenal on Saturday, Allardyce said: "We are trying to sign him on a contract because of his wealth of experience.[LNB]"He has trained with us a few days. He has shown us that we think he will be okay to play for us in the Premier League. So we are trying to sort something out."
