Striker Benjani is training with Blackburn Rovers as he looks for another club and Rovers seek some firepower in front of goal. The Zimbabwean arrived at Brockhall yesterday and will be hoping he can do enough to earn himself a deal. City boss Roberto Mancini let the 31 year old go at the end of last season so the striker is now a free agent. But any potential deal between him and Rovers is not likely to be sorted anytime soon. Rovers’ striker search will still continue elsewhere as Allardyce looks for the ideal man to work with Mame Biram Diouf who has just joined Rovers on a season long loan from Manchester United.
