Allardyce: We must make our point

10 March 2009 13:55
Rovers' goalless draw with Everton coupled with Stoke's priceless win over Bolton meant they slipped back into the bottom three. Blackburn have a game in hand on the likes of Stoke and Portsmouth and the former Bolton tactician knows the importance of their trip to Craven Cottage. Allardyce would love to emerge victories from their trip to west London, but hopes at the very least they will avoid defeat to Roy Hodgson's troops. When questioned if Rovers' clash was a must-win game, Allardyce replied: "No, but I think it's nearly there. "Our game against Fulham is our game in hand. If we can't win it and we come away with a point it does take us out of the bottom three. "The win would be obviously great because it stretches the points difference there is farther and we maximise that game in hand. "If we can't win it we have to make sure we don't lose it." Fulham 11/10, Draw 12/5, Blackburn 12/5
