Allardyce tired of travel sickness

Rovers have lost only once at Ewood Park all season, but have suffered six defeats out of seven away from home in the Premier League.[LNB]The team halted a run of 10 consecutive away defeats in the league stretching back to the previous campaign when they won 2-0 at Bolton in November, but then went down 3-0 at Fulham three days later.[LNB]Blackburn are at Hull on Saturday before meeting Birmingham at St Andrew's on Tuesday, and Allardyce has called upon his players to put their travel sickness behind them.[LNB]"We've almost been guilty of being Jekyll and Hyde this year with the superb performances we've been giving at home and the under par performances away from home - in fact, grossly under par in terms of results," Allardyce said.[LNB]"That is one thing that has to stop over the next few days because it's two back-to-back away games on Saturday and Tuesday night.[LNB]"They are two games that we must get results from and pick up points from. We can't continue to go on from where we left off at Fulham.[LNB]"We played well and took control of the game, but basically went under after we went 1-0 down. Then everything seemed to go astray and we lost comfortably in the end.[LNB]"After the Bolton performance, that shouldn't have happened but it did so my focus has been on putting that right and asking the players why we are not playing away from home like we are at home.[LNB]"We need to ensure we get to that level as soon as possible, starting at Hull."[LNB]Having been mired in the relegation zone a month ago, Hull go into the game with only one defeat in their last five matches after staging an impressive recovery under Phil Brown.[LNB]Brown's job looked to be under threat when Adam Pearson took over as chairman at the KC Stadium, but the manager has battled on and Allardyce, who worked with Brown at Bolton, believes those who were calling for his head need to gain some perspective.[LNB]"I'm glad to see he (Pearson) knows Phil and has given him the time he deserves," Allardyce said.[LNB]"I don't know what people expect at Hull City because they should be comfortable just about being in the Premier League, and nothing else.[LNB]"Any greater grandeur than that is way beyond their station and they should remember where they have come from and how hard it is today to establish yourself in the Premier League when it is only your second season."[LNB]Allardyce completed his first full week back at work today after undergoing heart surgery and said he was nearing a full recovery from the operation.[LNB]"I'm fine, I'm feeling good," Allardyce said.[LNB]"Day by day I'm getting a little better and I'm looking forward to a complete recovery which will be in a week or two, I hope.[LNB]"It's been a build-up of the years of doing this type of job and the way that I particularly live because of the job.[LNB]"I consider myself very lucky. The main thing was that we got it early and we got it before I suffered a heart attack, which was obviously going to be very close in the near future if I didn't have it seen to.[LNB]"I don't think I will take more time off. You manage the stresses and strains of the Premier League as time goes by and as you get more experienced, you manage it better.[LNB]"You use your experience to make sure you don't stress yourself as much as you did in your younger days."[LNB][LNB] Hull v Blackburn.
