Allardyce shocked by Roberts stay
lackburn manager Sam Allardyce admits he is surprised Jason Roberts is still at Ewood Park following their summer bust-up.[LNB] The pair fell out when the striker told Allardyce he wanted to leave the club for pastures new.[LNB]He ended up staying after Blackburn received no bids for his services and now Allardyce could turn to the 32-year-old to help his side climb out of the bottom three.[LNB]Allardyce said: "The disappointing thing for Jason was nobody bid for him, which was surprising for a player of his capabilities.[LNB]"We didn't particularly love each other when he said he wanted to go and I said he could. It never happened.[LNB]"I thought it would be a done deal but it wasn't.[LNB]"When January comes around, we will look at the situation.[LNB]"It depends what Jason does between now and then."
