Rovers gave a good account of themselves against champions Chelsea last weekend but were beaten 2-1 and now find themselves in the Premier League's bottom three.
Allardyce feels his side have not got the points they deserve and wants things to start turning round as Wigan visit Ewood Park on Saturday.
Allardyce told the club's website: "We've got to try and produce that sort of performance on a more regular basis and that will then bring us the three points that we are looking for.
"We are 10 games in so it is a slight concern. We should be on 13 or 14 points at the moment and we haven't managed to achieve that.
"We are one point less than at this stage last year, so I have to say to the players that we have to be careful now. We must get results on top of performances."
