Stoke offer 4m to Birmingham for striker Cameron Jerome

Stoke City are trying to land their second striker in 48 hours after bidding £4m for Birmingham's Cameron Jerome. Manager Tony Pulis secured the loan capture of John Carew from Aston Villa on Friday morning. But that was not enough to satisfy his demand for new forwards and he has now targeted Jerome. On the move? Cameron Jerome Stoke will need to off-load Ricardo Fuller to Sunderland for £3m before completing the deal. That transfer was still to be concluded on Friday night with Fuller travelling to Londonfor Stoke's clash with Fulham on Saturday. Although a price has been agreed between the clubs, Sunderland have yet to agreepersonal terms with the Jamaican, 31, who is looking for around £60,000-a-week wages. Birmingham had made an enquiry about Fuller and Stoke's Tuncay. They have hada second approach for Manchester City's Jo rejected and manager Alex McLeish ispondering a move for Roman Pavlyuchenko, while Newcastle's Peter Lovenkrandsand Cardiff City's Jay Bothroyd remain on his radar. Birmingham's Spanish midfielder Michel has joined AEK Athens on loan for the rest of the season.
