Same test for relegated trio

Championship-bound trio Birmingham City, Derby County and Reading will all face League Two opposition in the first round of next season's Carling Cup.

The Blues travel to Wycombe Wanderers, Derby have been drawn at home to Lincoln City, while Reading have been paired with Dagenham Redbridge away in the draw for the first stage of the competition.

Meanwhile, Exeter City and Aldershot have been rewarded following their promotions to the Football League with ties against Championship sides Southampton and Coventry City respectively.

The ties will all be played in the week commencing August 11.
