Refs give Bruce the Blues

Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce believes Premiership referees and giving clubs outside the top-flight rough treatment following the Blues' Carling Cup defeat by Liverpool.
Premiership official Howard Webb was in charge of the fourth-round tie at St Andrew's and Bruce was unhappy with the South Yorkshire official's performance.
"I am never one to criticise refs but it is as if he is the Premier League ref, we aren't in the Premier League, and every little decision seems to be edged towards the Premier League side," claimed Bruce.
"I thought the referee's overall decision-making was poor. I don't want to say much because I don't want to get fined again because the Premier League are very good at that.
"Every little decision went Liverpool's way - the big Premier League team against the not so big team."
