Queudrue seals City switch
03 Aug 2007 - 12:39:44
Birmingham City have completed the £2million signing of Fulham's French defender Franck Queudrue on a three-year deal.
The fee for the 28-year-old left-sided stopper could eventually rise to £2.5million, with Queudrue becoming the Blues' ninth signing of a busy summer in the transfer market.
He had only been with the Cottagers for one season, scoring once in 32 appearances following his arrival from Middlesbrough.
Queudrue had spent nearly five years with Boro, having initially moved to England on loan from Racing Club Lens in October 2001.
He made 199 appearances for Boro in total, netting 12 goals for the Riverside club.
Cottagers boss Lawrie Sanchez had earlier commented: "It's well documented he'd like to move on. There will always be players who want to move on.
"If players want to move I won't stand in their way, but he cost us £3million and we'd like our money back - he hasn't devalued in price at all over the last year."
