Midfielder Nigel Quashie is hoping to make his loan spell at Birmingham City into a permanent transfer.
Quashie, 30, was allowed to join the Championship club in October after falling out of favour at West Ham United this season.
The former Scotland international has made nine appearances for the Blues and is hoping to stay on at St Andrew's after his loan spell ends on December 28.
"If I could sign for Birmingham, then I couldn't ask for any more," he said.
"I wouldn't hesitate to come to Birmingham because I think it will be a new start for me.
"I'm really happy with how things are going and would not change a thing.
"If I could come to Birmingham I'd come straight away. Playing for Birmingham is what I want to do."
