Phillips wanted Down Under

Birmingham City striker Kevin Phillips is wanted in Australia by A-League side Perth Glory.

Phillips, 35, has already been approached about a move Down Under at the end of the season.

"That's not a rumour, that's a fact," said coach Dave Mitchell when asked if Perth were keen to sign the former England striker.

"He's under contract but I've made some enquiries about him and he's a good player. He's old but he's very quick still, quick and darty.

"He's a fit person and he's scoring goals in the Championship regularly for Birmingham, so if we get him he'd be a great asset."
