Pearson in limbo as move stalls

Scotland international Stephen Pearson has turned down the chance to move from Derby County to Birmingham City on loan.
Pearson had been on the verge of a permanent £600,000 transfer to St Andrew's until the Blues grew concerned about the 25-year-old's groin injury.
Birmingham asked about the possibility of signing the midfielder initially on loan with a view to a permanent deal, but Pearson is only keen on an immediate permanent switch.
Rams boss Paul Jewell said: "There's a small injury, but Stephen wants it to happen and Alex McLeish wants it to happen.
"However, it's in limbo at the moment."
