Birmingham City defender Mat Sadler has penned a new deal that will keep him at St Andrew's for another three seasons.
The 22-year-old had one year left on his existing deal but has now agreed a contract taking him up until June 2010.
Sadler played a key part in the Blues' promotion-winning campaign, starting 36 Championship games last term.
He made his debut almost five years ago but struggled to establish himself in the first team until last term.
He spent part of the 2003-04 campaign on loan at Northampton Town and has now made 54 appearances for City.
Meanwhile, Neil Danns insists he wants to stay at the club despite being linked with a summer transfer to Nottingham Forest.
