New Blues deal for Parnaby

irmingham defender Stuart Parnaby has signed a new one-year contract, the club have announced. Parnaby's previous deal expired this summer, and he had ended the season awaiting manager Alex McLeish's verdict on whether he would be awarded an extension. But the Premier League club today confirmed the 27-year-old former England Under-21 full-back, who can play on either defensive flank, will stay for another 12 months. Parnaby has made 50 appearances for Birmingham since joining from Middlesbrough in 2007.
