Birmingham City striker Gary McSheffrey claims the three-match ban he received for a recent red card could be a blessing in disguise.
The Blues' top-scorer was dismissed in the 1-0 win over Derby County earlier this month and has already sat out the games with Norwich City and West Brom.
The former Coventry City frontman will miss the next match against his former club on April 1 but believes the enforced lay-off could stand him in good stead for City's promotion run-in.
"I'm going to miss three games because of the red card, which is a big disappointment, but I'll be raring to go when I come back," he told the club's official website.
"Hopefully I can recharge my batteries and have a big impact in the last seven games."
