McLeish won't rush signings

Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has vowed to be patient in the transfer market as he looks to plot an immediate return to the Premier League.
The relegated Blues have already added veteran midfielder Lee Carsley to their ranks on a free transfer since the end of the campaign, but McLeish will not be rushed into making more swift close-season signings.
"It's silly season and all the agents have reappeared after being in hibernation since January," he told the club's official website.
"I'm getting all sorts of names thrown at me but I want to be very selective and careful about who we bring in.
"I know there are three or four out there that I would think would enhance the squad just now, but I'm looking for something a wee bit special and I will keep my powder dry at the moment.
"I'm also aware that you don't want to miss anything if there's something available there right now, but we need to do our homework.
"We try and sift through what we feel is going to be beneficial to the team and we'll discard the rest, but there will be other signings."
