    McLeish fears for injured duo

    17 Sep 2009 - 12:12:08

Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish fears that he will be without the services of Franck Queudrue and James McFadden for quite some time.

Queudrue picked up a hamstring tear while McFadden sustained a thigh injury during Sunday's derby defeat against Aston Villa.

"Franck and James McFadden are both going to be out for the foreseeable future," confirmed the Blues boss.

"Faddy has a thigh injury and Franck has a hamstring tear, which is normally three or four weeks minimum.

"It's a blow for us particularly with the way Franck has been playing, but we do have Stephen Carr, Scott Dann and Giovanny Espinoza available hopefully, although Espinoza's groin was a wee bit tight after the reserve game on Monday night.

"Scott Dann is looking good and he's at a decent level.

"David Murphy has also started training with the group again, which is great news, so that means that Dann, Murphy and Ridgewell are now all in amongst the other players."
