Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish is unsure whether James McFadden or Olivier Kapo will be fit for this weekend's clash with Everton.
Former Motherwell and Everton star McFadden has missed City's last three matches with a knee injury, while Kapo has been out since the end of February with a hamstring problem.
Birmingham remain in danger of the drop after losing 2-0 at Wigan Athletic on Saturday and McLeish has admitted that he is keen for the influential duo to return to action as soon as possible.
He said: "I don't know if Kapo and McFadden are going to be ready. It's a waiting game for those two.
"But we'll have (Franck) Queudrue available again and (Liam) Ridgewell's available after suspension."
Of his side's defeat at the JJB Stadium, McLeish added: "It was a scrappy game up to their first goal and that was another gift after we surrendered possession.
"We are where we are because of the lack of consistency in the team and Wigan had far too much experience and strength for us, especially when they were against ten men.
"We need to strengthen the squad and hopefully we can stay in the Premier League and can get some more quality in certain areas of the pitch."
