Birmingham City manager Alex McLeish has challenged record signing Christian Benitez to start finding the net in the Premier League.
The 23-year-old Ecuador international cost the Blues £8.5million in the summer, but has yet to open his account in nine outings for the Midlanders, although McLeish was pleased with Benitez's performance in the 2-1 win over Sunderland.
He told the Birmingham Mail: "He showed on Saturday that he can be a real handful, I think that he pops up in areas where it's difficult for defenders to pick him up.
"He's got a terrific touch and he seems a natural to me in getting in to these positions. You don't have to tell him about his movement he knows where to go.
"He worked for the cause, we know at times that he's not going to be the best tackler at 5ft 6in, but if he's in the right positions then at times, when we don't have the ball, it can still affect the opposition and maybe allow somebody else to win the ball.
"In terms of finishing, I don't know how many goals he can get. People say that he needs a few chances to score, but the one thing about him is that he seems to create about four or five anyway.
"The next step for him is to prove that he can score goals in the Premier League, but performance-wise he looks a player."
