McLeish cool on Diatta link

Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish has denied reports claiming he is set to sign Senegal international Lamine Diatta.
The 32-year-old defender has been linked with the Blues after opting to buy himself out of his contract with Turkish club Besiktas.
Diatta would be available on a free transfer, but McLeish has denied reports that he is close to signing the former Marseille and Lyon stopper.
The experienced defender was part of Senegal's Africa Cup of Nations squad which recently failed to make it out of the group stages in Ghana.
"His name came on my desk but it is nothing more than that at the moment," McLeish told the club's official website.
"I am looking at it but I haven't done anything as regards bringing him in.
"I think somebody said that I'd signed him but it is only a name on my desk and I believe he is out of contract so that's the situation. He'd be a free agent."
