Larsson cool over Blues wait

Birmingham City midfielder Sebastian Larsson has admitted that talks over a new contract have stalled, with the Premier League club set to be taken over by Carson Yeung.

The 24-year-old Sweden international had hoped that negotiations over a new five-year contract would be completed in the near future, but now accepts that he will have to wait for a while.

He told the Birmingham Mail: "It's gone kind of quiet since the situation with the sale of the club. I don't know whether anything can be done now.

"We were in decent stages of the contract talks but, since all this happened, the club haven't come back with anything.

"But let's not worry about because I still have time left on my contract and, until the club come back to me and say they want to do business, I am not going to let it bother me."
