Gold drops investment hint

Chairman David Gold believes Birmingham City could be the next club in line to receive foreign investment.
The Blues secured an immediate return to the Premier League after finishing second in the Championship last term and Gold - who has been at the helm alongside co-owner David Sullivan for more than a decade - believes the club would be an attractive proposition for overseas investors.
"It wouldn't surprise me if the club was at some stage approached by foreign investors. Many of the super clubs have already been taken over," said Gold.
"Birmingham could be one of the next to attract interest because it bears the name of one of the greatest cities in Europe."
Meanwhile, Gold expects the Blues to be one of a larger group of clubs battling to avoid relegation from the top-flight next season
He added: "We will be one of six to eight clubs who will be fighting against relegation.
"That will happen whether there is £6million or £60million coming in. I don't feel any different to when we were promoted five years ago and less money was available.
"It is the manager's job and the board's job to buy the very best players at the best value."
