Birmingham City boss Alex McLeish is desperate to keep striker Mikael Forssell out of the treatment room as the Blues bid to move clear of the relegation dogfight.
Forssell was on the scoresheet in the 3-0 win over Middlesbrough on Boxing Day, taking his tally to three in his last six outings for City.
McLeish told the Birmingham Mail: "He is a quality striker, no doubt about that. At training I have never seen a guy get in so many shots.
"We have to try and wrap him in cotton wool and make sure he's got the edge from now until the end of the season."
Meanwhile, injury-jinxed frontman Forssell has urged his team to follow up their win over Boro with another success against fellow strugglers Fulham at St Andrew's.
He added: "I have to say we have got difficult games coming up in January - Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal. So if we can get three points on Saturday against Fulham, then that would be fantastic.
"That's what we have to aim for. Like Middlesbrough they are around us in the table.
"We are strong at home, the crowd are excellent, so let's keep this going. We must play the same way, with the same intensity and attack."
