Dann: Blues deserve to be up there

Published: 17 Mar 2010 - 14:14:00

Blues looked set to suffer their first league defeat at St Andrew's since September when they went behind to early goals from Victor Anichebe and Ayegbeni Yakubu. Cameron Jerome began their rally before half-time after which Craig Gardner scored an equaliser to keep the Blues eighth and two points ahead of an Everton side that has made a late-season surge. "We kept the unbeaten run going, which is important," Dann said. "We'd said before the game that we wanted to do that and keep getting as many points between now and the end of the season. "Everton have picked up since the start of the year and have shot right back up the league. They're a top team with lots of top players but I think on Saturday we showed we're capable of matching teams like that. "We've still got to play against good teams and try and get good results like we did against them."
