Coach Thomson leaves Blues
Malky Thomson has become the second member of Birmingham's backroom staff to link up with United Arab Emirates side Al-Ahli. Thomson joined Blues midway through last season as reserve-team coach having previously played for Aberdeen and been assistant manager at Chester, Dundee United and Inverness. He has now joined Roy Aitken, who was City's first-team coach under Alex McLeish, in deciding to join up with Al-Ahli boss David O'Leary.
