Carson Yeung attempts to block Karren Brady's 1m pay-off at Birmingham City

Blocking payment: New City owner Carson Yeung Birmingham City's new owner Carson Yeung is bidding to block the near£1million pay-off due to former managing director Karren Brady should the club stay up this season. Brady was entitled to a £520,000 pay-off if Birmingham was sold, £260,000 if they retain their Premier League status and a year's salary of £179,372 without having to serve 12 months' notice. Other perks included a company car, sole and exclusive use of an executive box for 12 months at the club's expense, two directors' box tickets for each away fixture, plus carparking for six months, a mobile phone for 12 months and private health insurance for her and her family for 12 months.
