Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce has revealed he has plenty of irons still in the fire as he looks to bolster his Premier League-bound squad.
Bruce has already lured four players - Fabrice Muamba, Stuart Parnaby, Garry O'Connor and Olivier Kapo - to St Andrew's this summer and is planning on adding plenty of other fresh faces.
"It's been a busy summer so far, and it could get busier," he told the Birmingham Mail.
"We worked extremely hard to get back into the Premiership and that's where we want to stay.
"I still want possibly four or five more to come in to strengthen us, on top of what we've already got.
"When you analyse it, we lost four players after promotion - Nicklas Bendtner, Andy Cole, Bruno N'Gotty and Julian Gray.
"Three of them were regulars in the side towards the back end of the season, so they had to be replaced straight away.
"We're talking with one or two players and their clubs, so we'll see what develops."
Bruce has been linked with defensive duo Johan Djourou and Liam Ridgewell of Arsenal and Aston Villa respectively in recent days.
