Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce has admitted he needs to strengthen his promoted squad if they are to survive in the Premiership next season.
The Blues secured an immediate return back to the top-flight after a second-placed finish in the Championship, but with a number of players currently on loan at St Andrew's from Premiership clubs, Bruce will need to made significant acquisitions in the summer.
"At the weekend I watched Match Of The Day for the first time in 12 months and thought 'this is the big league and the big boys'," he said.
"Before you know it, a new season will be here and we have got to get prepared for the toughest league in the world.
"But I will make sure we get ready for it and try to assemble a team which is competitive.
"We need strengthening all over if we are going to be competitive."
