Bruce on verge of Ghaly deal

Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce remains confident that he will land Tottenham midfielder Hossam Ghaly but admits it is looking increasingly unlikely that Mido will be heading to St Andrew's.
A £6million fee had been agreed with Spurs for striker Mido, but the Egypt international looks set to be staying at White Hart Lane, at least for the time being.
Bruce said: "We're talking to Hossam and we hope that by Monday he will be added to the squad.
"But the deal with Mido looks off. It's fair to say our chances are less than 50-50.
"We hope we can pull it off, but it's nothing to do with finances.
"I'd look for another striker if one was available but it's whether you can get one.
"We have four weeks before the transfer window closes and last year we did our best business just before the start of the season."
