Bruce issued Blues challenge

Birmingham City boss Steve Bruce has been challenged to become the most successful manager in the club's history by Blues co-owner David Sullivan. Bruce is poised to celebrate five years in the St Andrew's hot-seat with his side top of the Championship table, and Sullivan is hoping the former Crystal Palace, Huddersfield and Wigan boss can become a club legend. "Steve Bruce has been the most successful manager in our time in charge of Birmingham, which amounts now to nearly 14 years," he said. "Now we want him to go on and become the most successful manager in the club's history. "We've had some good times and some bad times with Steve but it has also been an exciting time and he has been good for us. "Even after five years, there is pressure on Steve because promotion is a must for this season. "Steve knows this, though, and he is a man of character. He will show that character just as he has always done."
