Birmingham City manager Steve Bruce is still hopeful of some further success in the transfer market before the end of the month.
Bruce refuses to take no for an answer in his pursuit of Coventry City's Gary McSheffrey and also has eyes on at least another couple of potential targets,
He told the Birmingham Mail: "We are hoping that our best work in the transfer market hasn't come to fruition yet.
"We are looking to bring in another couple of players who can add something. We have a couple of weeks left and we have to bring in better than we have, otherwise it's pointless.
"I want a wide player. We have one or two irons in the fire and we are hoping that we can conclude something in the next four or five days."
