Birmingham City have pledged to co-operate with police after the club was raided by officers who took away financial documents on Wednesday morning.
The raid is believed to be linked to the Lord Stevens inquiry which looked into irregular payments to agents during 17 transfers involving Premier League clubs.
However, there is no suggestion that the St Andrews's club have broken any rules with managing director Karren Brady suggesting the matter involves a "third-party".
"The club is fully co-operating with the police in their inquiries which relate to an unconnected third party or third parties," read a Blues statement.
"For the avoidance of doubt. no-one connected with the club has been questioned or arrested."
