Birmingham City have finally wrapped up the loan signing of West Ham United midfielder Nigel Quashie on an initial one-month loan.
The 30-year-old was named in the Blues squad for Tuesday night's clash with Crystal Palace, having been training with the St Andrew's club for several weeks.
City manager Alex McLeish told the club's official website: "Quashie has looked good and he's definitely a player who will enhance our squad. He's got a good attitude and a winning attitude.
"You can flippantly throw that term around, but I think he's got the type of steel we require for the ambitions that we have.
"He was out for so long that we just needed to determine whether he can get through games week in and week out without picking up niggly little injuries.
"It's not easy to establish that before you sign somebody. I would think the fitness side of things has improved over the past few weeks."
