Birmingham City have released Olivier Tebily after agreeing a mutual termination of the defender's contract.
Tebily, 32, was out of contract at the end of the current season but has now left St Andrew's with immediate effect.
The former Ivory Coast international made 95 appearances during six years with the Blues after joining from Celtic in 2002.
However, he has not made a first-team appearance since October 2006 and will now seek to revitalise his career elsewhere.
"I really enjoyed my time at the club and I had some fantastic times during almost six years that I was here," he told the club's official website.
"But I have now reached a stage in my career where I felt it was time to move on."
Meanwhile, Birmingham boss Alex McLeish has been linked with a £1.5million bid for high-rated Hibernian left-back David Murphy.
