Birmingham agree 5m fee with Rubin Kazan for striker Obafemi Martins

Home again: Martins could be set for a permanent return to the Premier League Birmingham City have agreed a ?5m fee with Russian side Rubin Kazan to make the loan move of Obafemi Martins permanent. Martins, 26, joined Birmingham last month and City can take up the option at the end of the season. Birmingham have already paid a loan fee of ?500,000 for Martins who costRubin around ?15m when he joined them last summer from Wolfsburg. Birmingham have still to open contract talks with defenders Scott Dann and Roger Johnson after the last scheduled talks in October were postponed.  It's a big ask!
