Birmingham scraped a point having played much of the game with 10 men. Home goalkeeper Maik Taylor was sent off after 22 minutes when Jamie Mackie fell following a collision and Paul Gallagher scored from the penalty spot. Things worsened as Liam Ridgewell was taken off on a stretcher, but Franck Queudrue levelled when Romain Larrieu missed David Murphy's free-kick.
