Andy has been at Crystal Palace since the summer of 2002 coming from Birmingham City , he immediately gained hero status by by firing 28 goals in the league to gain Palace promotion to the Premiership . He was also named Player of the Year and went on the following season to fire in 21 goals in the Premiership and be named Player of the Year for the second succesive year , only the second time this has ever been achieved . His form also earned him a call up to the England squad and became the first Palace player to play for England since NIgel Martyn in 1992 .
