The Hong Kong business tycoon is on the brink of completing a takeover of the Premier League club as he plans to build publicity for English football in China. A deal is imminent, with Sky Sports News reporting on Tuesday afternoon that shareholders of Yeung's company, Grandtop International Holdings, have voted unanimously in favour of the takeover. Yeung is, therefore, already planning ahead and insists that former Scotland and Rangers boss McLeish will remain as manager at St Andrew's. "We would like to keep the takeover smooth. We will keep the current manager and try to do our best for the club's interests," said Yeung. "We wanted to buy Birmingham because it was free of debt and it owns its own stadium so we can incorporate other commercial developments."
