The 29-year-old defender is out of contract at Portsmouth this summer and having spent the closing stages of Birmingham's promotion-winning season on loan at St Andrew's, he is desperate to tie up a permanent switch. Blues, who are on the lookout for defenders, are currently in talks with Traore's agent over a deal and the former Liverpool stopper is hopeful something will be sorted out before long. "The discussions between my agent and the club are still going on and we are looking for the right deal," Traore told the Birmingham Mail. "Yes I'm keen to sign, I've had a few offers but my main priority is just Birmingham. "Of course, I enjoyed playing for the club last season and I said to my agent to do everything he can to make sure that I join Birmingham. "Hopefully something will be completed over the next few weeks."
