South Africa international striker Katlego Mphela has revealed he is keen on a move to England, amid reported interest from Birmingham.[LNB] The Mamelodi Sundowns ace is said to have been approached by the Premier League outfit, inviting him to a trial after World Cup 2010.[LNB]Mphela, who is nicknamed 'Killer', was scheduled to jet out to England in early February but international commitments halted the plan because he travelled to Brazil with Carlos Alberto Parreira's Bafana Bafana training squad.[LNB]But the 25-year-old feels honoured to be linked with a club of Birmingham's stature.[LNB]"It is always a great pleasure to have good clubs looking at you when you perform and it means they appreciate what I have got to offer as a player," Mphela told Football365.co.za.[LNB]"I would love to go to England because it is one of the toughest leagues in the world and it will be a great honour for me to go there for trials and get a contract."[LNB]Mphela, a former Strasbourg player, said visa problems also prevented him from trying to make the trip to St Andrew's earlier this year. [LNB]However, Mphela's agent will have overcome the red tape by July, especially if Alex McLeish steps up his interest in the forward.[LNB]The marksman also revealed that Blues officials were in Germany during South Africa's second training camp where they assessed his potential. [LNB]Mphela established himself as South Africa's first-choice striker after the 2009 Confederations Cup and has made 24 appearances for the national team, scoring nine times. He also won the domestic Golden Boot after bagging 17 goals in 30 league appearances for his club.
