Record sponsorship deal for Blues

The five-year deal will see the sportswear manufacturer produce the Blues playing and training kit from the start of next season, replacing City's three-year agreement with Umbro.[LNB]The news comes as a major boost to the St Andrew's club, who are enjoying an excellent season on the pitch under Alex McLeish.[LNB]They currently lie eighth in the Premier League table on the back of a run of 12 unbeaten league games.[LNB]Birmingham City's vice chairman, Peter Pannu added: "This is a fantastic deal for the football club. Not only is it a superb deal commercially, being the biggest sponsorship the club has acquired, but also on a brand level as it promotes the Club internationally.[LNB]"Xtep are big players in the sportswear market in China and this partnership will expand the Birmingham City FC brand in the Far East."[LNB][LNB]
