Queudrue set for central role

Although Blues' player of the season is more accustomed to playing at full-back, he has deputised at centre-half on a handful of occasions this season and will do so at Vicarage Road in Liam Ridgewell's absence.

McLeish hopes the 30-year-old Frenchman will be able to use his natural assets to form a formidable partnership with Jaidi after Ridgewell was ruled out for six to nine months with a broken leg.

"Franck gives us the balance on the left side and he would be in pole position if he's fit," McLeish told the club's official website.

"When he plays too many games in quick succession he can get a bit leggy but he seems to be in fairly fine form and has a good level of fitness at the moment."
