City are currently second in the Championship and will book their return to the Premier League if they beat Preston this Saturday.[LNB]But Phillips has described his season as disappointing, telling BBC West Midlands: "The last two or three months have been very frustrating for me. I haven't played anywhere near the amount of football that I want to, for whatever reason I don't know.[LNB]"I'm sitting top goalscorer but on 13 goals, and for me that's not good enough. I haven't played as many games as I'd like to."[LNB]But Phillips, 35, will not be taking his grievances to manager Alex McLeish until the end of the season.[LNB]"I'm just trying to help Birmingham gain promotion to the Premier League, so let's get this season out of the way, maybe have a long chat with the gaffer in the summer, and just see what his thoughts and plans are with me for next year, and we'll go from there."[LNB][LNB]
