Old Trafford trip first up for Blues
Alex McLeish's side, runners-up in the Championship last season, then have back-to-back home games against Portsmouth and Stoke before their first West Midlands derby against Aston Villa at St Andrew's on September 12.
Trips to Arsenal and Liverpool follow on October 17 and November 7 while the Blues travel to Championship champions Wolves on November 28.
Fans have been given a Boxing Day treat as Chelsea visit while Blues entertain Manchester United on January 7 before ending the month at Stamford Bridge.
The return derby with Wolves takes place on February 6, Arsenal visit on March 27, Liverpool also come to town on April 3 which is followed by a trip to Aston Villa on April 24.
Birmingham end their campaign against Bolton at the Reebok Stadium on May 9.
