O'Connor unfazed by Blues pressure

Six games stand between Blues and promotion back to the Premier League, starting with next Monday's crunch clash against promotion rivals Wolves. But the pressure of the derby encounter will be water off a duck's back to O'Connor and his Birmingham team-mates. "There's been massive pressure on us all season, and this game's no different," said the striker in the Birmingham Mail. "The demand for this club is to get promotion, to get back into the Premier League. "I've spoken to the gaffer a few times about it, comparing it to our days at Hibernian when he was manager. The expectations then were not that very high. "Coming to Birmingham it was different straight away. In the Premier League we weren't supposed to be one of the top clubs but neither were we supposed to be fighting relegation. So it was tough, but now, in this division we're expected to win every game and if a couple of results don't go our way, then it's seen as a disaster. "But it's not something we're complaining about. If you can't stand it, then you shouldn't be playing for a big club like Birmingham. We know that at the end of the day the supporters want exactly the same as us - and rightly so - and that's why there's been a lot of frustration this season."
