O'Connor in dark over Blues future

irmingham's striker Garry O'Connor is still waiting to find out if he will be offered a new contract at St Andrew's.[LNB] O'Connor's current deal runs out in January after he signed a six-month contract in the summer following problems in both hips which sidelined him for most of last season.[LNB]The Scotland international has forced his way back into the first team reckoning at City and impressed during Saturday's 2-0 home win over Blackpool.[LNB]But his future still remains in the balance at St Andrew's ahead of Tuesday's Carling Cup clash with visiting Brentford.[LNB]O'Connor said: "Nothing is being said at the moment about a new contract.[LNB]"The gaffer has got faith in me. It is just about people upstairs at the club.[LNB]"I would love to stay at Birmingham. It's a fantastic club and I've enjoyed my time here and hope it can continue.[LNB]"I've got to keep my head down and keep working hard.[LNB]"But, if it doesn't happen for me here, I can move on being happy with my form at the moment."[LNB]O'Connor started City's opening league game of the current campaign at Sunderland.[LNB]But he was then loaned out to Barnsley for a month to gain match sharpness after his lengthy lay-off.
