O'Connor grabs winner for Birmingham

Garry O'Connor was Birmingham's match-winner for the second match in succession on their tour of the Far East. The Scottish striker, whose goal saw off a Hong Kong XI on Sunday, scored the only goal eight minutes from time against Beijing Guoan after Cameron Jerome saw his shot parried and then squared the rebound to his strike partner. Summer signing Nikola Zigic hit the bar in the first half and goal-line clearances denied O'Connor and Liam Ridgewell, though Ben Foster had to be alert to tip a free-kick onto the bar at the other end.
