Murphy has scored 13 goals in 79 appearances since his move from Spurs two years ago and started every Premier League game last season. He has been chased by both Stoke and Birmingham City over the summer, but is ready to commit his future to the Cottagers. The 32-year-old has held talks with Roy Hodgson and is keen to finish his playing career with the Europa League qualifiers. "It is a case of getting the paperwork done and finalising a few little details," said Murphy in the Evening Standard. "The manager wants me and I want to spend the rest of my career here. There's no doubting that." Murphy believes the future is bright for Fulham and sees no reason why he would want to leave for another Premier League club. He added: "I get on great with the manager. The team is moving forward. "The club is moving forward. We're looking towards another productive season. "I'm the captain. What more do I want? I'm just completely content."
