McSheffrey in the dark over future

The former Coventry forward has endured a frustrating last 12 months, with a niggling knee problem hindering his progress at St Andrew's.[LNB]A positive start to life with Blues following his arrival in 2006 has fizzled out and the 26-year-old found himself farmed out on loan to Nottingham Forest last season.[LNB]McSheffrey enjoyed his time at the City Ground, and was able to build up his match fitness, but he accepts that he may on the move once again this summer should McLeish deem him surplus to requirements.[LNB]"I don't know what will happen," he told the Birmingham Mail. "In my opinion it is up to managers to keep players in the picture and if someone is not in their plans then I would personally like to be told.[LNB]"There were a couple of times at Coventry when I wasn't featuring, once under Gary McAllister, but to be fair to him he pulled me in the office and told me I wasn't going to be a big part of his plans and that if I wanted to I could go.[LNB]"So it has happened before to me and I have come through it and had a good career since then, so I will see what happens. [LNB]"I have had no contact over the summer. I have seen the manager a couple of times and just had a chat, nothing about my future, just general chit-chat about holidays.[LNB]"If I am fit and feeling good and my knee is feeling good then that left midfield position should be mine at that football club, in my opinion."[LNB][LNB]
